With your candle and a lighter within arms reach, close your eyes.
Begin to notice your breath. Feel it filling your body, expanding your ribs, oxygenating your blood, and lifting the crown of your head on the inhale, and drawing your shoulders down your back with each exhale. Count each breath cycle of inhalation and exhalation silently to your self until you reach 10 full cycles. Anytime your mind wanders, bring it back to your breath. After the last breath of this Ten Conscious Breaths meditation, open your eyes. Light your candle. Be still, then stand, ready to go.
